They say you revert to what you know best when you’re under pressure. Rolles seemed to support that belief with his many attempts at takedowns during the bout. Obviously, he is most comfortable on the ground, which is where all of his mma wins have occured. Unfortunately, on this day, it was not to be. The many failed takedown attempts resulted in Rolles absorbing too many strikes. We know that wasn’t his plan but plans sometimes go out the window in pressure situations.
